THE SAVIOR NEXT DOOR
Every day I take a closer look at the One we call Jesus.
“And the Word was made flesh…” (John 1:14).
This is one of the deepest mysteries about Jesus:
God put skin on.
The One who created oceans got thirsty.
The One who created sleep got tired.
The One holding galaxies together felt nails in His hands.
The King of Heaven stepped into humanity like a soldier entering a war zone.
That is the mystery.
And honestly, it still leaves me in awe.
Jesus was not God hiding from pain.
He was God stepping directly into it.
He knows betrayal because Judas kissed Him.
He knows abandonment because friends disappeared on Him.
He knows pressure because blood came through His sweat.
He knows grief because He wept publicly.
This is the power behind Jesus:
God did not save humanity from a distance.
He came close enough to feel what we feel, right in our neighborhoods.
That means your pain is not talking to a disconnected God.
Jesus understands suffering from experience.
His name was Emmanuel, which means “God with us.”
Not theory.
Not religion.
Presence.
We serve a God who came close enough to touch.
The tragedy is that people can be close to Jesus physically, religiously, and culturally, yet still never recognize Him spiritually.
John said:
“He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not” (John 1:10).
moment: be still, and invite the Lord to apply what you have read.

TRUST THE LORD
Lord, thank You for this week’s word. Shape my heart by Scripture, not by noise or status. Where I have chased recognition, return me to simple obedience. Let the truth I have read bear fruit in love and humility. Amen.
