GOD STILL HEALS

One of the enemy’s greatest attacks against believers is convincing us to lower our expectations concerning the power of God.

People still believe God can save, bless, and open doors. But many secretly stopped believing God still heals.

Yet Scripture never changed.

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8).

If He healed then, He still heals now.

Jehovah Rapha means “The LORD that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26). Healing is not merely something God does occasionally. Healing flows from His nature. He is a healer.

Throughout Scripture, sickness constantly bowed before the authority of Christ. And because He lives in you, darkness, affliction, and sickness still recognize His authority.

Blind eyes opened.
Deaf ears heard.
Broken limbs strengthened.
Blood diseases stopped.
Demons fled.
Fevers disappeared.
Paralyzed men walked.
Dead bodies rose again.

And what is powerful is this:
Jesus never struggled against sickness. Disease never intimidated Him. One touch changed everything.

The woman with the issue of blood suffered for twelve years until she touched the hem of His garment by faith (Mark 5:25–34). Ten lepers cried out for mercy, and Christ cleansed them (Luke 17:11–19). Blind Bartimaeus shouted through the crowd until Jesus restored his sight (Mark 10:46–52). The paralytic lowered through the roof stood up and carried the very bed that once carried him (Mark 2:1–12).

Why?

Because the Kingdom of God has authority over sickness.

Healing is not fantasy.
Healing is not emotional hype.
Healing is not manipulation.
Healing is biblical.

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

Notice the language:
“We are healed.”

Not merely someday.
Not merely in Heaven.

Healing was connected to the suffering of Christ Himself.

The blood of Jesus is still powerful. His blood still saves, delivers, restores, and heals.

God Is Sovereign

Now hear this carefully because balance matters:
God is sovereign.

Not every healing happens the way we expect. Not every prayer unfolds on our timeline. Sometimes God heals instantly. Sometimes progressively. Sometimes eternally through bringing someone home into glory.

But faith does not stop believing simply because it does not fully understand.

Faith trusts the character of God even while fighting through uncertainty.

“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…” (James 5:15).

Scripture never told believers to stop praying for healing. In fact, God gave us instructions:

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord” (James 5:14).

Oil does not possess magical power. The authority belongs to God. But the oil represents consecration, obedience, and faith in the God who heals.

Jesus also said:

“They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:18).

Notice the wording carefully:
Recover.

Sometimes recovery is immediate.
Sometimes recovery is a process.

But believers are still commanded to believe God.

Faith Over Fear

Too many Christians speak more fear than faith. We rehearse statistics more than Scripture. We magnify diagnosis more than God’s authority. We meditate on symptoms more than promises.

But Scripture says:

“For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37).

This does not mean we deny doctors. Luke himself was a physician. But believers should never place medicine above the Master.

Doctors practice medicine.
God performs miracles.

And sometimes God uses both together.

Faith is not pretending pain does not exist. Faith is declaring pain does not have the final authority.

The enemy wants people hopeless, fearful, bitter, and spiritually exhausted through affliction. But sickness does not cancel God’s power.

Even now, Christ is still touching lives.

Believe Again

Believe it.
Pray again.
Lay hands again.
Trust God again.
Anoint with oil again.
Speak life again.
Declare Scripture again.

“What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” (Mark 11:24).

And while we ask boldly, we still surrender humbly to the wisdom and will of God.

Faith is not controlling God.
Faith is trusting Him completely.

Today, do not allow unbelief to speak louder than the promises of God.

Jehovah Rapha still heals.
The blood of Jesus is still powerful.
And the name of Jesus still has authority over sickness, disease, fear, and affliction.

Believe God again.

And do not ever forget what Jesus said:

“These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils… they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17–18).

Notice something powerful:
Jesus did not say these signs would only follow preachers, prophets, or famous ministers.

He said these signs would follow them that believe.

Faith still carries authority.
Believers still carry the name of Jesus.
And the power of Christ did not disappear with the early church.

So pray boldly.
Believe boldly.
Speak Scripture boldly.

And never let a hopeless world convince you that the power of God has stopped moving.
